IEA recognizes that many of our students may have reading specific learning disorders, including dyslexia, or need additional reading support. IEA's two reading interventionists specialize in assessing student needs and customizing reading programs, while measuring growth. Our reading interventionists support classroom teachers to ensure students are learning in the most beneficial ways all day long, not just while they are receiving individual or small group reading support. Our reading interventionists are trained in a variety of modalities and develop custom programs for students, as needed.
Programs our interventionists are trained in include:
- Wilson Reading System
- Story Grammar Marker
- Orton-Gillingham principles
- Kansas SIMS
