Behavioral Support

IEA has two full-time Board Certified Behavioral Analysts (BCBAs) on-site to support all of our students, as well as two Behavioral Interventionists. Our BCBAs can be found working with students directly in their classrooms, identifying variables that may be maintaining interfering behaviors, and teaching appropriate replacement behaviors. Our BCBA also works closely with the classroom staff to model appropriate strategies to use with students and collect data to report the progress on behavioral, academic, and functional daily living goals.

BCBA's must complete rigorous coursework and pass the exam set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) to become board certified in behavioral analysis. BCBA's carry at least a Master's Degree, have accomplished at least 225 hours of additional coursework, and must meet all other legal and professional guidelines in accordance with the BACB's national standards.
