Below we will share the current cases of isolation and quarantine for IEA students and staff. These numbers reflect new cases and quarantines over the last week. Numbers will be updated each Wednesday. These numbers may not be reflective of the total number of people in isolation, as people may continue to be in isolation for the following week.
When we have a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 in our school community, the person will remain in isolation at home.
Students or staff may be in quarantine because they have been in contact with a person who tested positive. They are staying home as a precaution. These numbers will be report on the chart below.

These numbers include any student or staff who we have been informed are under quarantine due to an out of school exposure. For privacy concerns, the student and staff numbers are combined.
The Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) and the Department of Public Health (DPH) have published an updated version of Addendum 4 to Adapt, Advance, Achieve: Connecticut’s Plan to Learn and Grow Together – Updated Guidance for Decision-Making Regarding the Use of In-Person, Hybrid (Blended), or Remote Learning Models. This updated Addendum expands public health metrics to support local decision-making with regards to school operations.
Addendum 5 further clarifies when quarantine or isolation is recommended.
