Retirement Celebration for Sister Helen & Father Bill

Honoring the Retirement of Sister Helen Dowd & Father Bill Mulcair

October 7th marked a monumental day in IEA's history, the retirements of the school's beloved founder, Sister Helen E. Dowd and trusted marriage & family therapist, Father William Mulcair. Nearly 200 guests came to celebrate, including some of IEA's first students and their families. The event included touching tributes from Head of School, Jill O'Donnell, radio entertainer, Brad Davis, parent of one of IEA's first students, Lorretta Whalen, Father Fredrick Flaherty, and long-time friend of IEA and Board Member, Attorney Jim Sully. Singing actress, Rochelle Bard sang a touching tribute of For Good and of course, it wouldn't be an IEA celebration without bagpiper, Patrick Whelan. It was a wonderful evening to celebrate two people who have truly touched so many lives. Perhaps, Rochelle said it best when she sang...

Because I knew you,
I have been changed for good
